Central Bank of India is one of the 20+ banks that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has partnered with to provide FASTag services. A FASTag is a tool that makes it possible to avoid stopping and making cash transactions when passing toll plazas, as it is linked to your savings or prepaid account.
It employs RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in order to make a seamless collection of toll fees across the nation. FASTags are applied on the front windscreen of four-wheeler vehicles and recharges can be done through multiple payment modes online such as debit cards, net banking, credit cards, UPI, etc. The benefits of using CBI FASTag include cashless payments at toll plazas without having to keep the exact change, mobile alerts through SMS each time money is deducted from your account or when your balance is low, and reduced traffic congestion and time spent in toll plazas. A single FASTag can only be used for one vehicle and has a validity of 5 years.
Apply online for the Central Bank of India fastag via their official portal. On the website, head to the Fastag section and fill in the required details such as your full name, address, and contact information (email address & mobile number). A code will be sent to your number, enter the code to confirm your contact details.
Recharge your CBI Fastag via Paytm, open the application on your mobile application and select ‘Recharge’, and then ‘Bill Payments’. Click the Fastag tab and select the Central Bank of India from the available payment options. Top-up your fastag account and you are good to go.
